My passion is in food and making the world a better place. I’ve spent years pouring through food and health information, reading through solid research and fact checking, and sifting out the fads and gimmicks.
After a long, sometimes quite stressful, day at work - I’d cook meals, pick up food, or order delivery. When one is busy and famished, it’s tempting to grab what is easiest. I fell into being a “maccy cheese vegetarian” much more than a plant-based one, even though I knew better. I’ve observed many people think they are making healthy choices and are simply misinformed. My goal is to change the way we understand food.
In several places in this site including right here, I emphasize that these serving sizes are a starting guide. Normal healthy kids eat less. A 40-lb person requires less protein and food in general than a 135-lb person, and a 200-lb person needs more. Adjust for each person, including induvial medical needs. Work with your doctors and nutritionists.
We first need to make sure we have the tools, and all ingredients before we start. I've listed the most difficult to get ingredients first in each recipe.
Then, the recipes are broken out into steps. I think we work best this way, it makes the recipes easy and attainable.
